Hampton Inn High Point

Front desk staff was courteous. Hotel was VERY clean and quiet. Not many guests the weekend we were there. Breakfast was good. Real half and half for the coffee during breakfast hours which truly won me over! Coffee is available after hours. Chose this hotel because of the pool and the proximity to our outing. Pool area was quiet. Kids enjoyed the pool.

When we originally booked this hotel, we chose the option of having a room with 2 queen beds as my mother, father, and I would be staying here for two nights. On the day of check in, we received an email notification saying that our room had been changed to a room with a king bed and a pullout bed. Upon arrival to our room that same day, we had come to find out that there was only one king bed and no pullout, which obviously would not accommodate the three of us. When we called the front desk, we were told that there were no rollaway beds left and were asked if we had traveled with an inflatable mattress that we could use as a last resort. The only other option we were given was to pay for another room with a king bed - which essentially meant that we would have to pay for a mistake made by the hotel. We ended up having to go to the nearest grocery store to buy an air mattress to stay on for the night. Needless to say, the staff at this location was extremely unhelpful and unaccommodating.

This Hampton Inn hotel was quiet and clean. The beds are very hard. Decent A/C. A very small window in room 316. The light bulbs are pretty dim. Great breakfast area. I didn't check out the pool or fitness center. I love the fact that there are large refillable bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel but can we get toilets that are made for adults? They're so low I feel like I'm sitting on an elementary school toilet and my knees don't appreciate it.
